Today, whilst on my return journey back to Naples, I seemed to have caught a fever in a town near Megara. Later in the day, I will be crossing to Italy by ship. I am currently suffering from stomach pains, a sore throat, and an awful headache. Occasionally, I will undergo a violent coughing attack which tends to result in the spitting of blood. I honestly feel terrible, and am dreading the voyage back to Italy. And although I have never really been in good health these past years of my life, I am accustomed to believing that aegrescit medendo. Because of this belief, I refuse to see a doctor about my ailments, and therefore leave my life in the hands of the gods.

Post Number Four
Earlier today, I met with Augustus and recited books two, four, and six of my poem for his revision. However, I suppose my words were a bit too convincing for his sister, Octavia, because when I began book six, she fainted. But I interpret this to be a sign that my writings are sincere and meaningful. Yet again another reason as to why I am such an excellent poet.
Post Number Three
Today I have decided to travel Greece to revise my epic poem, the Aeneid. Once I reach Athens, I plan to meet with Augustus so he can aid in the revision of my poem.
Pray that the gods are with me on my journey.

Post Number Two
Remember, Roman, to rule the people under law, to establish the way of peace, to battle down the haughty, to spare the meek.
In these words, I have created a synopsis of Roman themes throughout our rich history.

Post Number One
Today I, Publius Virgilus Marco, begin work on my newest creation: the Aeneid. I shall sing of arms and the man who first came from the shores of Troy . . . I will write my epic poem in the form of dactylic hexameter. Only the great gods on Mount Olympus know when this poem shall be completed; but in the event that I pass away before its completion, I do not wish for the uncompleted writings to be released into the public. I appreciate your understanding and total compliance.
And remember my children, amor vincit omnia.
