Earlier today, I met with Augustus and recited books two, four, and six of my poem for his revision. However, I suppose my words were a bit too convincing for his sister, Octavia, because when I began book six, she fainted. But I interpret this to be a sign that my writings are sincere and meaningful. Yet again another reason as to why I am such an excellent poet.
Virgil, your writings are quite moving. I have always loved them, as it is now apparent. I especially admire the Aeneid. Continue your writings!
